Acupuncture
Ayurveda

I hold a four-year Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NIAOM). I am a Licensed Acupuncturist and Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner. I have worked in clinics specializing in women's health, detoxification, drug rehabilitation, mental health, and chronic fatigue/fibromyalgia.

My approach to achieve wellness is to help each individual with his or her unique health needs and concerns by striving to treat the underlying cause of your complaints, not just your symptoms. I utilize both traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine principles in all of my treatments. This process is always interactive. I will teach you how to better understand your body and provide you with the tools necessary to assist and participate in your own healing process.

Naturopathy
IV Therapy

I am a naturopathic physician, graduate from Bastyr University. I completed my undergraduate degree in nutrition from The University of Arizona. I also have a background in personal training, completed Master’s Level in Reiki, and have continued education is the areas of Ayurveda and IV nutritional therapy. These professional endeavors reflect my belief that in order to achieve “health” one must be fit in mind, body and spirit.

I will use both alternative & conventional medical tools to assess, diagnose and treat chronic or acute disease. For example, I will use herbs and physical medicine for the common cold or flu, but when the situation arises, I will also prescribe antibiotics. In addition, I practice primary health care, which includes screening procedures such as annual exams, sports physical exams, basic eyesight, blood sugar and cholesterol checks, just to name a few.

Dr. Porter offers 15 min. consultations, free of charge, to answer your questions if Ayurveda, Naturopathy or IV therapy can benefit your current state of health.

Craniosacral Therapy

I have been practicing Naturopathic Medicine since 1998, after my graduation from Bastyr University. In addition, I am a Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner and was trained in Cranial-sacral therapy in 2000. It has been an important part of my overall approach to health and wellness. Naturopathic medicine and Ayurvedic medicine treat chronic conditions as well as acute illness. Most illnesses respond well to a holistic approach that includes botanicals or homeopathies as well as diet and lifestyle modifications. I utilize some conventional methods in my in Family Practice, such as blood tests and annual gynecological exams.

Sonia Telesco, LMP

Injury Treatment
Deep Tissue &
INTRA-ORAL MASSAGE

A newly licensed Massage Therapist and recent graduate from Renton Technical College, I am excited to open my practice at Kerala. I provide exceptional Bodywork for injury treatment and general wellbeing. I am here to help you eliminate neck, shoulder, back, and hip pain — by influencing neuromuscular relaxation and structural alignment with massage therapy.

I believe massage therapy can improve your healing process as you recover from auto accidents, work or sports related injuries, and surgery. Massage relieves muscle stiffness and pain, and accelerates recovery time. I can work in cooperation with your health care providers’ to ensure you receive the comprehensive care you need.

I am interested in the structural balance of our bodies as an integrated system. Often overly tense muscles can influence weaker structures, creating compensation patterns – which massage therapy can provide relief from. Bodywork sessions with me will often include self-care instructions – stretches or core strengthening, based on the Pilates method.

Certified in intra-oral massage for people who have: whiplash, head-forward position, head trauma, TMJ disorder, bruxism or clenching, orthodontia/braces strain, tension headaches & migraines, vocal cord tensions, sleep apnea, and scoliosis. Focusing on head, neck and jaw muscles the actual internal work is brief and highly effective.
