We welcome you to enter the world of Kerala Ayurveda, which promises to enlighten you and enliven you with its range of knowledge, therapeutic and product solutions – all geared to provide wellness naturally! | | Currently, the Kerala Ayurveda Academy offers programs at two levels: Level 1: The Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor (AWC) Program is a 500 hour program based on the first goal of Ayurveda—Swasthasya Swasthya Rakshanam. At this level the emphasis is on preservation of health and prevention of diseases through Ahara, Vihar and Vichara. After completing this program, students will be able to do Body Constitution analysis and recommend dietary and life style modifications, teach meditation, Pranayama and offer simple Ayurvedic therapies. Students can attend classes on one 2-day weekend per month for 11 months OR opt for Distance Learning (via Webex or by receiving class videos and course manuals by mail). Students will also need to mandatorily complete a Project for successfully completing this Program. | | Level 2: The Ayurvedic Wellness Practitioner (AWP) Program is a 1000 hour program based on the second goal of Ayurveda—Aatarusya Vikara Prashamanam. At this level, students of the Kerala Ayurveda Academy will gain a deeper understanding of Ayurvedic concepts and learn Ayurvedic analysis and management of various disease states. Students can attend classes on one 3 to 4 day weekend per month—Thursday/Friday through Sunday—for 11 months. OR opt for Distance Learning (via Webex or by receiving class videos and course manuals by mail). Students will also have to mandatorily complete a Clinical Internship along with a Project for successfully completing this program. | | The Kerala Ayurveda Academy at Seattle is licensed (under Chapter 28C.10 RCW) by the Workforce Training and Education Coordinating Board, Olympia, Washington. |
